Harry Lewis Tarnoff is a Board Member and Vice President of Ecumenical Affairs of the Queen of Angels Foundation. He is a Knight Commander (KCLJ) in and the leader for the Western United States of The Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem, an order of chivalry that originated in a leper hospital founded by Knights Hospitaller in 1098 by the crusaders of the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem (http://www.st-lazarus.us) but today is purely a global non-governmental charitable organization. “St. Lazarus” is ecumenical and has a number of influential business leaders, military officers and clergy including His Beatitude Gregorios III, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East of Alexandria and Jerusalem, HE Luis Cardinal George of the Archdiocese of Chicago, and HE Luis Cardinal Aponte Martinez, Archbishop emeritus of San Juan de Puerto Rico, and HE Norberto Cardinal Rivera Carrera, Archbishop of Mexico City and the current Primate Archbishop of Mexico.
Harry Tarnoff is a recognized leader in groundbreaking applied technology. He is a graduate of the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science with a B.S. in Computer and Electrical Engineering and a minor in Economics. As the CEO of DataPlex, Inc. (http://www.dataplex.com/), a technology strategy consulting firm based in Los Angeles, California, he has orchestrated the creation of over one hundred new hardware products and software services including scanners, printers, and a wide range of e-commerce, financial, medical, entertainment and manufacturing systems. As an expert in over one hundred hardware and software technologies, he is often asked to assist start-up ventures and lead teams to provide strategic direction, determine feasibilities, develop new technologies and intellectual property, and oversee high-tech production and assembly operations.
Mr. Tarnoff promotes ecumenical outreach for Mary’s Children by participating in the fundraising and social aspects of several Los Angeles homeless women and children shelters, working with the organ donation programs of Donate Life (http://www.donatelife.net/) and One Legacy (http://www.onelegacy.org/), and by serving on the Board of the Hollywood Bowl Society (http://www.laphil.com/give/bowl-society.cfm), an adjunct to the Los Angeles Philharmonic (http://www.laphil.com/) that raises funds for children music programs.
